5. Murali Vijay (CSK): 113 against Delhi Daredevils, 2012

Murali Vijay made a historical score in the 2012 playoffs. He became the first batsman to score a century in IPL knockout.
It was a great performance by Vijay. And why not? He had an up-and-down season, with only three decent innings to his name.
However, he put everything else aside and came up with a performance that would be remembered. Vijay began the innings with two fours to signal his intentions.
The fact that Delhi was missing Morne Morkel’s speed turned out to be an advantage for Chennai , and, of course, for Vijay too. He was the aggressor all along and went on to score 113 off just 58 balls.
His onslaught helped CSK post an unbeatable total of 222 runs, which was way beyond what Delhi could manage. Thus, CSK made it to the finals for the third time in a row.
4. Wriddhiman Saha (Kings XI Punjab): 115* against KKR, 2014

He got rid of the entire pressure with his contemptuous innings. Saha was a bit overcautious in the beginning of the innings. But as soon as he got his feet, he began his work.
Saha pushed the pedal in the second half of Punjab’s innings. He first went after the spinners and then switched to the pace bowlers.
Saha reached the milestone of 50 in just 29 balls and then completed his century in the next 20 balls. He remained not out on 115 runs and contributed to Punjab’s score of 199 runs. However, Saha’s memorable performance could not save his team since Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made the target look too easy.
