The IPL has been a major talent-hub where the best players gradually introduced and made their way into the professional circuit. It was just in the same season where the rookies could’nt resist the spotlight any more than they did in IPL. Their skills and talents thus left unmatched footprints on the field with their batting centuries against the bowlers.
One of to pin down their age or imagine their age at all would be hard! In fact, there is a rare case where players are already on the edge of making their confirmatory statements about their eras, just like those kids who scored centuries but still run a long way to go in their careers!

5. Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals) – 21 Years and 123 Days

Jaiswal’s first appearance in IPL was back in 2020 but it wasn’t until 2023 that he turned the heads of all with his fabulous skills. In this very edition, the aggressive left-hand opener got hold of his first IPL century.
And it was such an unbelievable feat at the age of 21 years and 123 days against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, a venue he was very much accustomed to. He scored a mind-blowing 124 off 62 balls.
He played the innings quite well and his scoring included 16 fours and 8 sixes. He was the main contributor to the 212 total of Rajasthan Royals which unfortunately they could not defend.
4. Devdutt Padikkal (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) – 20 Years and 289 Days

Devdutt Padikkal was all over the 2021 season after the brilliant performance he had in 2020. He had scored 473 runs in 15 matches and thus was rightly awarded the Emerging Player of the Year.
Quite naturally, the southpaw maintained his form throughout 2021 and thus was able to score his first century in the league. He was only 20 years and 289 days when he slaughtered a nonchalant 52-ball 101 not out against Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Besides, what was remarkable about Padikkal’s innings was that it came during a run chase. Along with Virat Kohli, he not only breached RR’s 181-run target but did so without losing a wicket over RR’s score.
3. Rishabh Pant (Delhi Daredevils) – 20 Years and 218 Days

Spider-Man Rishabh Pant was in his prime during 2018. Moreover, that same season marked the day of his first IPL century when he was just 20 years and 218 days old.
Pant walked in when the score was 23 for the loss of 2 wickets on a rather difficult pitch with Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals). He opened with a barrage of fours and then shifted gears to a more cooler method of playing.
Then after the turning point Pant again let it loose but this time during the second innings of the match targeting Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) finest bowlers. He pulled out Rashid Khan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a total of 70 runs!
There was a time when it seemed impossible for Delhi to reach 160 runs but Pant’s 128-run nocturnal slaughter made them set the board at 187 runs. Unfortunately, his hard work went unrewarded as SRH easily chased down the target.
2. Manish Pandey (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) – 19 Years and 253 Days

Manish Pandey held the top spot of the charts for nearly 16 whole years. He was 19 years and 253 days old when he scored his first IPL century.
In fact, Pandey became the first Indian to score a century in the league. Surprisingly, however, his 67-ball effort still stands as the slowest (the quickest!) in terms of balls taken to reach the 100-run mark.
Yet it was a match-winning knock as Pandey’s unbeaten 114 helped RCB put up 170 runs on the board. RCB later defended their total by 12 runs.

1. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (Rajasthan Royals) – 14 Years and 32 Days

Who could believe that a batter younger than the IPL itself would score a century? It’s hard to believe, isn’t it?
But it happened with Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He was just the youngest player in the history of the league and was coming off a debut.
In just his third game, the leftie broke another record. He scored a brilliant 101 runs and left everyone speechless. Even Rahul Dravid had to get out of his wheelchair to give this incredible young talent a well-deserved round of applause!
Suryavanshi hammered Gujarat Titans (GT) bowlers, even the most experienced ones, to the farthest corners of the field. This was a wonderful performance of power-hitting, and that too from a 14-year-old boy!
Besides this, Suryavanshi made his first IPL hundred in just 35 balls and placed himself just behind Chris Gayle with the second-fastest century in the league.
