Their highest team score in the tournament was 412/3 against Denmark on December 16, 1997 thanks to Belinda Clark’s 229* off 155 balls. Their lowest was 77 against New Zealand in 1993.
England: Always Competitive (62 Wins, 27 Losses, 92 Matches)
England is next with 62 wins in 92 matches and 4 World Cup titles. They won their first match against the International XI on June 23, 1973 and won their first title.
England won the World Cup in 1973, 1993, 2009 and 2017. They scored highest in 2017 against Pakistan with Heather Knight (106) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (137) taking them to 377/7.
Their lowest was 95 against Australia in 1997. But their history makes them a top team in women’s cricket.
New Zealand: Tough Competitors (54 Wins, 30 Losses, 87 Matches)
New Zealand is third with 54 wins and 1 World Cup title. Their first win was in 1973 against Trinidad & Tobago.Their best was in 2000 when they won the World Cup at home against Australia. The White Ferns scored 373/7 against Pakistan in 2009 with Haidee Tiffen and Suzie Bates (168 off 105) scoring centuries.
Their lowest was in 2017 when they scored 79 against India. But New Zealand is tough and resilient.
India: A Growing Team (37 Wins, 31 Losses, 70 Matches)
India is 4th with 37 wins in 70 matches, they are growing in cricket. They first won in 1982 against International XI. India has never won the World Cup but were runners up in 2005 and 2017. Their highest score was in March 2022, Smriti Mandhana (123) and Harmanpreet Kaur (109) took them to 317/8 against West Indies. Their lowest was 37 against New Zealand in 1982.
