The all-rounder struck four sixes up to his fifty, and the fourth of those sixes coming in at 48 took him past MS Dhoni in an exclusive Indian list. Ravindra Jadeja has now hit 79 sixes in Test cricket, which is one more than what MS Dhoni had. The Saurashtra all-rounder now stands fourth in the list of most six-hitters for India in the longest format, just behind Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag, and Rishabh Pant.
To put it briefly, Rohit Sharma has hammered 88 sixes in tests while Virender Sehwag 91 and Rishabh Pant hit 90 sixes. With Rohit Sharma and Virender Sehwag already retired, it is a big opportunity for Ravindra Jadeja to move into second position by the time he finishes his career.

Jadeja has been in magnificent form in 2025 so far, with seven scores of 50-plus this year. It is the most any batsman has scored during this year, reflecting that Jadeja has taken his batting to the next level in the longest format.

The left-hander will now seek to convert this fifty into a big hundred that would put India in a position to win the match by an innings. Jadeja has an excellent record against West Indies in Test cricket and is all set to enhance it in Ahmedabad.
