The cricket pitch measures how far? What are the dimensions of the boundary and the inner circle?
If you have these questions in your mind, then you have come to the right place for answers. All the dimensions of the cricket field will be listed in this extensive guide.
The Distance of a Cricket Pitch
The pitch is the main site of the intense cricketing battle between bat and ball. It is a rectangular surface on the field measuring 22 yards (20.12 m) in length and 10 feet (3.05 m) in width.
What are the Measurements of the Creases?

The ground staff marks the bowling crease, popping crease, and return crease as soon as the pitch is prepared.
The bowling crease, indicating the end of the pitch, should measure 8 feet 8 inches (2.64 m) in length. The popping crease, which is marked in front of the bowling crease, should be 4 ft (1.22 m) away from it.
And the return creases that denote the outer edges of the crease should be drawn straight (at right angles) to the popping crease at a distance of 4 feet 4 inches (1.32 m).

The Inner Circle Length in Cricket
If you have experienced a T20I or an ODI match, the presence of a white circle near the pitch might have caught your attention. This is referred to as the inner circle or 30-yard circle.
The inner circle, as the name suggests, is drawn using two semi-circles with a combined radius of 30 yards (27 m) from both answers of the wickets. In the case of women’s cricket, a radius of 25.15 yards (23 m) is used for the inner circle marking.
What is the Boundary Size in Men’s and Women’s Cricket?
Cricket grounds are not standardized in sizes, but the ICC has prescribed a boundary size that has to be adhered to in international matches.
In men’s cricket, the boundary’s longest side should be at most 90 yards (82.29 m), and the shortest side should be at least 65 yards (59.43 m) away from the center of the pitch.
On the contrary, women’s cricket allows the longest side of the boundary to be at most 70 yards (64 m), and the shortest one should be at least 60 yards (54.86 m) from the center of the pitch.
Distance Between Boundary and Advertising Boards / LED Displays
A 3-yards (2.74 m) gap between the boundary and any solid object is a necessity, such as advertising boards, LED displays, the player dugout, or any person. This is a must for a player’s safety while fielding on the boundary.
